New year and getting busy

With the clock ticking until due day, we haven't had the luxury of easing into the new year. But it's been a great opportunity to whip us into shape. So far this year, we've taken multiple baby classes on birthing, breathing, relaxing and breast feeding. 16 hours so far. And we've got baby care and infant CPR classes remaining. 5 more hours and we should be ready! Yeah right!

We've also turned our attention to the looming prospect of nursery arrangement. Until recently all the baby 'gear' had infiltrated our dining room. Stacks and stacks of it. But this upcoming weekend, the nursery will go into our guest bedroom. It's a phased project because to accommodate, we're moving the guest bedroom stuff into the office area, the office area stuff into the basement area, and the basement area stuff into storage. In order to convert the basement to our office, an electrician has installed new outlets and phone/ fax lines down there. That was completed this week. We've moved all the office stuff down there and gotten the guest bedroom moved to the old office. Tomorrow the carpet cleaners are coming to 'disinfect' everything before the crib and accoutrement go into place, which should happen this weekend. Oh yes, walls will be painted and everything will be 'perfect'.

In other news, we've had another recent sonogram and a doctor's appointment and both have confirmed that everything is going as planned and looks great! As of today, we are at 32 weeks and 2 days.

With baby showers upcoming, grandparents visiting and the completion of the nursery and house to go, we're right on schedule!

Pictures of the nursery should be coming soon... stay tuned.
